Dennis, something you said really sparked a memory that I thought you would appreciate. Even though you never got a chance to tell him that you understood and envied his lifestyle, he knew it. He talked a lot about his family and he said that he felt bad at times and understood your frustrations because he felt part of you wished you could join him and live like him. So while some things were left unsaid, he knew it inside, shared it, and appreciated it. I hope what i said makes sense - I didn't get the writer's gene.
