People have been asking;

"Why does Tim Dunham Realty refer to their agents as

'Special Agents'?!"

Real Estate Agents are actually "Special Agents" as apposed to "General Agents".  A General Agent can do anything for the person that appointed them.  However, a Real Estate Agent can do only specifically what the person who appointed them allows the agent to do.  To better help you understand, the following are definitions from the dictionary:

Agent:

a·gent (jnt)
noun

  1. One that acts or has the power or authority to act.

  2. One empowered to act for or represent another.

  3. A representative or official of a government or administrative department of a government: an FBI agent.

Special Agent:

spe·cial (spshl) a·gent (jnt)

noun

  1. Someone whose authority is limited to the special undertaking they have been instructed to perform.

So even though you and nearly everyone else may have never heard of a Realtor refer to themselves as a "Special Agent", they truly are Special Agents.

Tim Dunham Realty has taken the definition of "Special Agent" and had a little fun by using a play on words.  Many are familiar with the infamous "Secret Agent James Bond"... or the movies "Mission Impossible" well, we share the theme of "Mission Impossible", as we work in the field of helping the public buy and sell Real Estate, which at times may seem impossible.  However, there is nothing "Secret" about Tim Dunham Realty, so we run with the respective titles: "Special Agents".
